MINNESOTA
The Parks and Trails Committee is dedicated to ensuring our community has safe play areas for all community members. The committees work includes overseeing the City Park, Crown Ridge Park, community garden, downtown flower boxes as well as working with the community to determine what amenities are needed in the future.
Plan for City Park
In an effort to stay ahead of the Ash Borer, the committee has developed a tree replacement plan.
Plan for Crown Ridge Park
The committee is actively working on plans to upgrade the park. New trees have been planted. New swings have been installed and a walking path is being considered.
Community Garden
The Community Garden Committee along with the Ellendale Area Heritage Society are making improvements to the garden. The Donate a Brick program for citizens to donate engraved bricks as a way to recognize the Ellendale heritage is one of the activities currently going on.
Memorial Bench
Memorial benches are available for purchase through the city office.
